Biography

Originally trained as a designer in Paris, Ana Bianchi later studied fine art
at Chelsea College of Art, the Byam Shaw and Central St Martins in London. Although previously better known for her work in the medias of sculpture and
installation, painting has been a constant focus and something to which she
has returned with regularity.
She has exhibited in Poland, joining a
site-specific project of 30 artists in Skoki headed by Jaroslav Koslowski;
Barcelona and Geneva, where she was one of six British artists chosen by the Greene
Gallery to exhibit in Unusual Tension in 1999. A Gloucestershire resident,
she has been a regular contributor to the biennial Quenington open-air
sculpture show, the Stroud House Gallery and the Anderson Gallery in Burford.
In London, she has exhibited in various venues
including the Hyde Park Gallery, Lauderdale House and took
part in Living Room 2000, an exhibition of nine
installation artists curated by Damian Llambias. More recently
she has exhibited in Art London 2005 and 2006; and the London
Art Fair 2007.
She has had two solo painting shows in 2002 and
2003, at the Gavin Graham Gallery in London, and a third,
in April 2005 at the COSA Gallery, Ledbury Mews North, London
W11. She will be exhibiting at the Arndean Gallery, Cork Street,
London in 2009 in a double show with Cornish based artist,
Caroline Delavigne.
For the past four years, Ana has organised and
curated the biennial Quennington Sculpture Show in Gloucestershire:
Fresh Air 2005, Fresh Air 2007 and will be curating Fresh
Air 2009.
